A catch-all email mailbox is one that collects all the messages sent to invalid email addresses. For example, if your address is info@domain.com, but someone miswrites it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Just one mailbox per domain name can have this feature activated and in this way you’ll never miss messages because the other party has an outdated email address or has made a typographical error. The drawback of using a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving lots of unsolicited emails, but this issue can be resolved using anti-spam filtering software. It is also vital to bear in mind that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all feature cannot forward inbound messages to a third-party address.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

In case you host a domain on our cloud web hosting platform and you have a cloud hosting account, you will be able to activate the catch-all feature for any e-mailbox that you set up under the domain. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel comes with quite a lot of features, but it’s amazingly easy to work with, so setting up a catch-all mailbox takes just one mouse click. All the email addresses that you have set up will be listed in this section alphabetically and you’ll just need to click on the "Catch-all" button pertaining to the specific email address. Our system will warn you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain or if the one that you want to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either turn off the latter feature or choose a different mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all option is just as easy and requires yet another click on the same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all option can be activated with ease in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. All the email addresses that you’ve set up using the domains hosted in your semi-dedicated server account will be enumerated in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel and you’ll notice a small-size button handily situated directly next to each one. With only one single click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your preference on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under the same domain with this option already activated and there isn't active email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on an email address and activate the feature through the context menu that will come into sight. If any of the prerequisites for creating a catch-all mailbox is not matched, our system will warn you, but will not deactivate or replace anything automatically.
